Research Associate (Fixed Term)

The Cardona Lab are pleased to invite applications for the position of Research Associate in the Experimental and Comparative Connectomics Laboratory. The primary purpose of the role is to support the research of Dr Albert Cardona, whose lab is interested in the neural circuit basis of behaviour. The post holder will have a neuroscience background, with a PhD in neuroscience or a very closely related discipline. They will have experience with sample preparation for electron microscopy (EM), trimming resin blocks and mounting them for imaging in block-face and for serial sectioning and imaging with transmission EM, imaging at both electron microscopy and light-sheet laser-scanning microscopy, neuron reconstruction from electron microscopy, and analysis of neural activity imaging data.

Fixed Term: the funds for this post are available until 31 December 2025.
