We have an exciting opportunity to join the college’s marketing and communications department as a Content Marketing Officer. The role is key to our future plans and would form an important part of our team achieving departmental objectives moving forward.

As an all-round marketing role, the position would suit candidates who are looking to progress their marketing career to the next level and presents a great opportunity to develop your skills and abilities across the marketing range.

The main objective of the role will see you develop and create compelling content for campaigns that engage our target audiences utilising a variety of marketing channels - as well as working as part of the wider team to achieve our overarching marketing and communications objectives.

Alongside this you will be also be delivering a wide range of engaging marketing and communications work including:

  • Paid for advertising campaigns both in print and online (Google and Facebook PPC)
  • Social media management and promotion
  • Development of content marketing plans to achieve the college’s recruitment targets
  • Supporting the development and production of college printed materials alongside the design team inc course guides, promotional materials and booklets alongside applicant and student newsletters
  • Work to achieve positive PR and improve media relations to elevate the college’s profile
  • Updating copy and content on the website for campaigns

You would join a vibrant and exciting team which prides itself on being at the forefront of marketing and is constantly looking to evolve and develop how we work.

Who we need

We are looking for candidates to ideally have some experience in a similar marketing role and preferably a degree level qualification in a marketing-related area.

What you’ll bring

You will bring with you some experience in a communications role, preferably in a large, fast-paced and diverse organisation. You’ll be a self-starter, happy to get out and about and find the news that interests and inspires you. You’ll be an excellent writer, with experience writing for various audiences across a range of channels. You will have experience of media relations and a track record in working with local media and partners to positively position the college for all that it does. As this is a part-time role this role would suit somebody looking to maintain a level of flexibility and work life balance. You will be happy to come into college as the need arises but you’ll be given the opportunity for some home-working too
