Background
City, University of London is the University of business, practice, and the professions. We have a compelling Strategy which places Technology and Digital Change at the heart to deliver an excellent student experience and teaching capabilities. Information Technology (IT) provides technology and digital services to the staff and students, including front-line support services, infrastructure, applications, and project delivery. The Director of IT Enterprise Services is a key member of the new IT Leadership team.
Responsibilities
The role holder is responsible for the robust delivery of City’s core business technology services including the new ERP system (Oracle), Student Records (SITS), Learning Platforms and the Data Warehouse, in addition to ensuring that these services meet customer needs. They will lead and develop the IT Enterprise Services group to deliver customer-focused services to defined service levels and will be pivotal in the moving on our site services to a cloud infrastructure over the next two to three years.
Person Specification
We are seeking an inspirational and people focused leader with experience of delivering core enterprise services in complex organisation including Finance and HR systems. The role-holder will have extensive experience in managing onsite and cloud infrastructures, integrations and management reporting platforms. Additionally, strong stakeholder management, outstanding communication, financial management, planning, and delivery skills are required. Experience of working in higher education is advantageous.
