Applications are invited for one post as a Lecturer or as a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice. Applicants must currently be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacist. For both positions, applicants must possess a PG Cert in Professional Practice in Higher Education (or equivalent) or be a Fellow of Advance HE (or demonstrate a willingness to undertake such a qualification when in post), and a doctorate in a relevant academic discipline.
The successful applicant will develop and enhance aspects of the teaching and scholarly activities of the School, with a focus on the practice of pharmacy in near-patient settings. For the Lectureship, they will develop a research profile in an area of pharmacy practice. For the Senior Lectureship, they will already possess a track record of publications in high quality, international, per-reviewed journals. The successful applicant(s) will also develop links with our external partners across all sectors of pharmacy and healthcare to advance the clinical capabilities of our students and to support our students in the development of their professional identities.
