The role
We are seeking an effective and efficient administrator to provide dedicated support to the studies within the Ageing and Movement Research Group (AMRG), working closely with the Trial Managers, Senior Research Administrator and study participants.
The successful role holder will facilitate office support, study clinics and provide accurate data entry into the various data management systems. They will join a welcoming and friendly team of 20+ other AMRG members within the School.
What will you be doing?
The AMRG Senior Administrative Assistant will work closely with the trial management team to provide administrative support to enable researchers to excel in the delivery of their various research studies. The AMRG Senior Administrative Assistant will be responsible for entering data collected at study visits into the database, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry. The successful role holder will also liaise with participants, assisting them with questionnaire completion, arranging and rescheduling clinic appointments and arranging transport for them to attend. The AMRG Senior Administrative Assistant will protect the privacy and confidentiality of participant information at all times, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and with university policies.

The AMRG Senior Administrative Assistant must be a team player with a high attention to detail. You will also need to be able to form effective relationships with staff and participants and must be highly organised, with a flexible, proactive, and supportive approach to work, with a friendly and positive disposition. Experience of working with individuals with Parkinson’s and/or cognitive impairment in a research setting would be an advantage, as would experience of using clinical trial data management systems. The role holder will be expected to be present in the office 5 days a week due to the operational requirements of the studies.
