JOB PURPOSE
This is an exciting opportunity for an archivist to undertake a project to catalogue Hughes Hall’s historical archive and support the college’s 140th Anniversary celebrations in 2025.
The College Archives consist of a small collection of documents and photographs (ca. 26 linear metres) pertaining to the history and administration of the College and its founding organisation, the Cambridge Training College, from 1885 to the present day.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated archivist to gather, organise and catalogue the College Archives, to create policies for all key aspects of the archives’ management, and to support the Development Team in marking the College’s 140th Anniversary through displays, alumni events and external communications.
This is an ideal role for an archivist seeking satisfying, flexible, part-time work as part of a friendly library team.
