The Courtauld Institute of Art is the UK’s leading institution for teaching and research in Art History and the conservation of paintings. It is also home to one of the finest small art museums in the world. The Courtauld is currently undergoing a capital transformation project that will make The Courtauld’s world-class artworks, research and teaching accessible to more people – in the UK and internationally.

This role is based in the Student and Academic Services (SAS) department reporting into the role of Student Data & Management Information (SDMI) Manager. The post holder is responsible for ensuring effective and high-quality student data collection and reporting student data. The post holder will also assist in the preparation and maintenance of the student academic timetable.

The post holder will be required to create and develop a range of reports and will also support the preparation and submission of the institute’s reports to external agencies, such as the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and the Office for Students (OfS). The team are responsible for developing and providing reports/management information to internal colleagues as well as meeting statutory obligations. The role involves undertaking development of new system processes under the direction of the SDMI Manager and the post holder will be expected to develop expertise of our student record (SITS), timetabling (CELCAT), and attendance monitoring (SEAtS) systems.

You will have:

  • Previous work experience in higher education (HE) in a senior programme administration role.
  • Familiarity with SITS functionality with in-depth knowledge of one or two component areas of SITS Records Systems e.g. CAMS, MAS, SRS, e:Vision
  • Desire to learn new technical skills/knowledge and to use initiative and judgement to resolve problems
  • Ability to effectively organise allocated work activities and manage own time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • Excellent IT skills, fully conversant in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work effectively and accurately under pressure to tight deadlines.
