Joining our Safety, Health, & Employee Wellbeing Team you will be involved in a variety of fire safety initiatives, from the design of academic projects to liaising with our accommodation team. In this dynamic role you will be collaborating with other team members to lead our advisory and monitoring service, using your substantial professional knowledge to deliver pragmatic advice across our fascinating academic and professional services on and around our campus.
About the role
As our fire safety lead, you will provide a consultancy service which will include comprehensive risk assessments and control measures across a range of building types and processes. Primarily based at our campus you will also have some travel to our other properties in Bath. Developing positive actions and behaviours throughout your audits, inspections, awareness campaigns, you will develop innovative ways to foster a proactive fire safety culture. You will take end-to-end ownership of your audits and inspections and be a key member of our Health and Safety Committee meetings.
About you
You will be experienced in providing fire safety advice within a complex organisation with a wide range of facilities. With a comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation especially in respect of fire safety management, you will also have:

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role, which is predominantly based on the Claverton Down campus. There will be some scope for hybrid working although we anticipate that you will usually work at least three days per week on campus.
