About the role
You will be working with the Niklison-Chirou team at the Life Sciences Department.
In this specific role, you will support lab members (PI, PhD students and MSc students) in designing and conducting research studies that contribute towards our understanding of the role of lipid droplets (LDs) in cancer.
You will be integral to an AMS Springboard-funded research project investigating the role of LDs in medulloblastoma.
In cancer, LDs have been reported to optimise energy production and redox balance to promote tumour progression.
This project will investigate the importance of LDs in ensuring medulloblastoma survival under stress conditions.
As a member of Research Staff at the University of Bath, you will be encouraged to take up a minimum of 10 days professional development pro rata per year.
This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) fixed-term basis with an expected duration of 24 months.
