Job summary

As an IP Due Diligence Officer, you will use your knowledge to establish ownership, and review funding contracts and resolve encumbrances relating to intellectual property generated at Imperial College. You will work with teams across Imperial’s Enterprise Division, to advise on any obligations relating to the IP portfolio prior to its commercialisation, while supporting Imperial’s technology commercialisation activities. You will also report to funding partners and joint-owners, to meet third party obligations and resolve encumbrances.
Enterprise is the College’s Division dedicated to industry interactions and academic business ventures. It is a dynamic, fast-paced division that drives forward strategically important commercial engagements, enhancing the College’s core mission, particularly in technology transfer and industry collaborations.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for handling a portfolio of IP cases arising from Imperial research progressing them through IP due diligence to identify third party obligations prior to commercialisation.
