The University of Bradford is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic researcher with strong social science skills for this 15-month, either grade seven, 3 days a week or grade eight 2.5 days a week Research Fellow position. You will work collaboratively as part of a team on an innovative public health project that aims to increase the uptake of vaccines in ethnic minority perinatal women and children under five years.

What you will be doing:

The post holder will be based mainly at the Uni versity of Bradford and occasionally at the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The post holder will support/ lead and carry out research for this project funded by Medical Research Council (MRC). The post holder will work with community organisations in West Yorkshire to co-produce implement and evaluate a DAISI (Digital Animation in Service Improvement) to reduce vaccine hesitancy. 

This includes liaising with our App. Developers in HMA digital. DAISI is a suite of short digital animations designed to communicate key public health messages in a culturally and linguistically appropriate way www.daisi-research.co.uk. This funding is specifically to develop a vaccine hesitancy DAISI.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse research team and with external collaborators. We have a supportive training and seminar series for the continuing professional development needs of our researchers.
