Overview

The School of Health and Society is seeking an ambitious individual to join our fantastic Psychology team. We are pleased to offer an opportunity of Lecturer in Psychology to support our very successful UG programmes, and our new MSc in Forensic Psychology. This role will support the learning, teaching and research of the thematic area. There will also be an expectation to undertake project supervision, and personal tutoring. We would be keen to hear from candidates who can contribute to research mentorship and/or the development of enterprise/CPD activity for the school.

Key responsibilities of the role include,

  • To deliver the highest quality learning, teaching and assessment for our UG and PG students
  • To contribute to our high-profile research in sports rehabilitation and performance
  • To support the development and delivery of enterprise activity across a variety of settings
  • To contribute to the development of the subject through a commitment to personal and professional development

The Subject area of Psychology is part of the Directorate of Psychology and Sport. Research conducted by the Psychology group focuses on how individuals think, feel, and act, and how they deal with the challenges they face at an individual, group, or societal level across the lifespan, covering diverse issues such as addictions and alcohol use, visual attention, working memory, mental health, climate change, social media, and political radicalisation.
