About this role

We are currently seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager to join our friendly and supportive team based primarily at our Bishop Otter campus but working across all 4 main residential sites. The key focus of this role is to assist the Head of Campus and Residential Services with the University’s Accommodation Services activity. This includes the management of service delivery and assisting in the production of strategies to develop the service. The post holder will be required to participate in the on-call out of normal office hours rota with other members of the team, which will include providing cover during evening, weekends, University annual closed periods and Bank Holidays.

Responsible for recognising the uniqueness of each individual student’s circumstances, driving initiatives that will build, develop and enhance social integration, education support, community development and leadership skills for students.

About you

You will have an Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a discipline allied to the management and operation of Housing and/or Accommodation and be able to demonstrate evidence of Health and Safety training and qualifications or experience and recent relevant continuing professional development with professional qualifications relevant to the role.

You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, a professional manner and the ability to build relationships and respect confidentiality. You will need to be approachable, adaptable and conscientious with a strong student focus.
