The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 572 years. Today, we are one of the world's top 100 universities and ranked 13th in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Impact Rankings 2023, demonstrating that we are not only one of the best universities in the United Kingdom, but one of the best universities for the world. Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.

The University of Glasgow is looking for a highly motivated candidate to lead the Critical Technologies Accelerator (CTA) ensuring its long-term sustainability past the current funding cycle.

The successful candidate will work with the CTA Director, the Director of the James Watt Nanofabrication Centre (JWNC), and their Director of Strategy, and the broader academic team, and will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the overall portfolio of CTA projects.

In addition, the postholder will also have responsibility for working with industry and other collaboration partners to define and lead the development of new projects, including identifying external funding sources to secure the long-term sustainability of the Innovation Accelerator once the current round of CTA IA Levelling-Up funding expires in March 2025. It should be noted that the University has submitted an application to Glasgow City Region Innovation Zone that would secure funding for the project until March 2030.

This post is full time (35 hours per week) and has funding available for up to 8 months in the first instance.
