The Centre for Medical Education (C4ME) is looking to recruit a Clinical Senior Lecturer for Rural Practice for a fixed 3-year term to lead the development, delivery, evaluation and continuing enhancement of all aspects of the rural education route within the MBBCh programme.  

Based in Aberystwyth, you will work in partnership with colleagues from across Cardiff University and other universities and the NHS across Wales to lead the delivery of undergraduate medical education ensuring that the requirement of the professional statutory bodies are met.  

The role holder will contribute to scholarship and research as relevant and maintain and regularly update clinical and educational knowledge relevant to this position. Applicants should have a subject specialist knowledge of primary care and relevant teaching experience related to medicine at undergraduate or postgraduate level. They should also be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the contribution of community clinical learning to the MBBCh programme. You will be asked to demonstrate knowledge of assessment and feedback strategies used in undergraduate or postgraduate medical training and the ability to provide appropriate pastoral and academic support to students as needed.
