Are you looking for a challenging role in an environment that is dynamic, inclusive, and fosters innovation?
Then join the University of East London as our Creative Newham Partnerships Manager.
There are exciting developments at the University of East London. Celebrating 125 years of pioneering education and community engagement, we are leading the way in promoting cultural diversity and creativity within Newham. As the managing organisation for the 'Newham’s Place Partnerships' project, funded by Arts Council England’s Place-based Partnerships fund, we are spearheading an ambitious programme to enhance the local cultural landscape. This initiative forms part of our broader commitment to creating an inclusive, vibrant, and creative future for East London.
As Creative Newham Partnerships Manager, you will leverage your skills in partnership management to oversee a multifaceted programme aimed at developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. You will work closely with the Creative Newham Chair and other partners to design and implement strategic initiatives that align with the programme's vision and objectives. This includes managing budgets, coordinating events, and ensuring the active engagement of over 80 member organisations.
In this crucial role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including cultural organisations, local businesses, educational institutions, and community groups. Reporting to UEL’s Strategic Lead - Impact and Innovation for the School of Arts and Creative Industries, you'll play a key role in enhancing the visibility and impact of Creative Newham. Your responsibilities will include negotiating partnership agreements, developing joint marketing strategies, and ensuring the programme's activities meet the needs of the community.
Your ability to distill complex strategic plans into actionable initiatives, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences will be essential. With a proactive and innovative approach, you'll navigate the complexities of partnership management, ensuring that all activities are delivered on time and within budget. Your passion for the arts and commitment to cultural diversity will drive the success of the Creative Newham programme, establishing it as a model of best practice in partnership working.
Joining the Creative Newham initiative means you'll have access to a wealth of resources, professional development opportunities, and the chance to make a tangible impact on the local community.
