A Postdoctoral Research Associate in Cognitive Robotics is required for a period of 11 months to work on the Horizon/InnovateUK project MUSAE: a human-centred factory for a future technological sustainable development driven by arts”. This is a collaborative project of the University of Manchester’s Cognitive Robotics Lab with various academic and industry partners in the UK and Europe. The project aims to set up the MUSAE Factory Model based on the Design Future Art-driven (DFA) method and address future challenges in the food domain to improve people and planet wellbeing, using technologies such as robotics and AI.
The candidates will carry out research on cognitive robotics. A PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence or allied disciplines is required. Excellent programming skills are essential, as well as robotics and/or machine learning skills. Previous experience and publication track record in robot cognitive modelling is an essential requirement.
The research fellows will be working collaboratively as part of the Cognitive Robotics Lab at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester under the supervision of Professor Angelo Cangelosi. Close collaboration with the other project partners will also be required.
