JOB DECRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Technical Demonstrator To be responsible for the delivery training of specialist technical skills and training in different learning tools to either groups of students or one-to-one support to individuals at Bath Spa University, London 

About the role

As Technical Demonstrator you will be teaching the use of digital learning tools, leading AV and Educational Technology training for staff, and preparing comprehensive training guides, as well as being responsible for ensuring the maintenance of specialist equipment is carried out within own area of work and that health and safety standards are complied with at all times, You will develop and conduct digital learning workshops, supervise students in workshop facilities, and ensure Health and Safety compliance. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining equipment, conducting risk assessments, and advising on future resource requirements. Collaboration with AV, learning technology, and professional services colleagues is essential.

About You

You will be highly skilled with a first degree in a relevant practical subject or significant professional experience. You will have extensive AV experience, knowledge of educational technologies like Teams, video conferencing, and lecture capture, and a proactive approach to maintenance, development, and safety. Strong digital literacy, particularly in Adobe Creative Campus tools, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage resources and work under pressure are essential. Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive approach to change, along with the ability to work collaboratively towards shared goals, are key attributes for this role.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This role will involve some weekend (Saturday) working in line with teaching blocks.
