The post holder will be a member of a research group that aims to use between-species neuroimaging to improve the translation from preclinical to clinical neuroscience. The post holder will have responsibility for carrying out research using large-scale magnetic resonance = imaging (MRI)-based dataset of human patient data to develop transdiagnostic markers of disease with the goal of using these for between-species translational neuroscience. The post holder will also provide guidance to junior members of the research group including research assistants, PhD students, and/or project volunteers. The post holder will report to the head of the lab, Prof Rogier Mars.
Some of your responsibilities will include managing own academic research and administrative activities, this involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines. As well as devising and implementing research strategies for large transdiagnostic neuroimaging datasets, including identifying and designing appropriate methods of research; collating and analysing a range of data from different sources; and establishing new methods or models for research, setting the context for research.
It is essential that you hold a relevant PhD/Dphil, together with relevant experience and have experience in analysing human neuroimaging data, including two or more of the following: resting state fMRI, qMRI, diffusion MRI, and spatial transcriptomic data.
