About the role:
Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) is a UK-aid funded programme that supports policy makers and academics in low- and middle-income countries with a suite of open-source datasets and modelling tools to allow them to plan for and finance their own climate transitions. CCG’s International Partnerships workstream is seeking a Coder to provide support on a wide range of software design, optimization and troubleshooting issues.
What you would be doing:
You will play a pivotal role in CCG’s Data & Tools Unit as the go to person on all coding and software-related issues. Your work will centre around expanding, improving and sustaining a world-leading suite of open-source modelling tools for the climate transition, as well as designing and maintaining the associated database systems. You will interact extensively with internal partners in other universities and external partners across a variety of international organizations.
