Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a dedicated Senior Research Laboratory Manager to join our School of Natural Sciences. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and high standards of our research and teaching laboratories.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient running of research laboratory facilities and equipment for lab users, providing a high-quality technical service that supports and contributes to both research and teaching excellence. You will be experienced at working both independently and with other researchers and students, designing, planning and managing laboratory projects in line with all relevant health and safety, and financial requirements. You should have an MSc, PhD or equivalent in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a closely related subject and have an in-depth knowledge and up-to-date practical experience of molecular biology and protein purification methods.

Contract:
This role is offered on a fixed-term basis for 1 year until 30th Sept 2025.
This is full-time, working 35 hours per week.

Salary and benefits:
Grade 8 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £ 49,745 rising to £ 58,554 per annum.
