Duties and Responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Project Manager for Data Management within the Data and Information Systems team at the Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit (CCTU). The purpose of the role is to lead the implementation and delivery of the Data Management Strategy at the CCTU, and working closely with the Clinical Operations, QA and Statistics Teams, together with other members of the Data and Information Systems team to improve data management systems and data quality at the CCTU to achieve the successful completion of studies. The post holder will also have line manage responsibilities for the CCTU Data Scientist(s).
The Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit is a specialist unit set up within the Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology with a specific remit to design, conduct, analyse and publish clinical trials and other well-designed studies. The CCTU provides clinical, statistical and trial operations leadership and facilitates the delivery of high quality, regulatory compliant clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (IMPs) and non-IMP trials. The CCTU is a registered CTU with the capability to centrally coordinate multi-centre clinical trials (i.e. having overall responsibility for the design, development, recruitment, data management and analysis of trials) with robust systems to ensure conduct and delivery of clinical trials to the highest quality standards.
Funding is until 31 Dec-2025 in the first instance.
Key Requirements
The successful applicant must possess a postgraduate degree and/or equivalent experience in Clinical Trials, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the associated regulatory requirements. Significant experience of data management in clinical trials and experience of staff supervision or line management would be required for this post, as well as good attention to detail and advanced organisational and project management skills.
