Research and Innovation is seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide a proactive and comprehensive School-facing service to support the ambitious growth of the University of Aberdeen’s externally funded research portfolio. Identifying funding opportunities, providing expert advice, assistance in the development of research grant funding proposals and other aspects of bid support with the view of increasing the volume and quality of proposals.
Well organised, astute and highly motivated, we are looking for an adaptive individual to work alongside Schools and academics, with the ability to work both independently on your own initiative, and effectively as part of the Research Development Team within the wider R&I. You'll be able to demonstrate an understanding of the UK research funding landscape (including UKRI), with experience of inputting into research bids and their submission. Ideally, the candidate will have experience of project management and working in an academic or funding body environment. The candidate will primarily support the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition and, in accordance with business need, will be required to work flexibly also supporting other Schools from time to time.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6, £37,099 - £44,263 per annum, pro rata and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
