We are recruiting for a Lecturer in Accounting within the Department of Management at the Business School, University of St Andrews. You will be a scholar with a growing international research reputation and committed to delivering high-quality teaching within the broad area of accounting.
We are looking for candidates in all areas of accounting but are particularly interested in candidates who offer research in Social and Environmental Accounting, Corporate Governance and Human Rights, Audit and Accountability.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a range of interests, to be active in research publication that strengthens or complements those in the Department and to be capable of teaching Financial Accounting and Management Accounting to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from a wide range of backgrounds. You will also be able to engage effectively with practitioners and policymakers in your chosen area of expertise.
Candidates should hold a PhD in a cognate discipline. Excellent teaching skills and an interest in promoting knowledge exchange are essential. You should also have some familiarity with grant seeking processes in relation to research councils and other sources.
