The department maintains strong links with professional bodies such as the CFA Institute, CISI, and the CMT Association, and has a reputation for innovative, rigorous, and relevant teaching and research. Staff are encouraged to participate in conferences and engage with policy, business, and community organisations, including executive education.
We are currently seeking an inspirational and motivated individual to join us on a fixed-term maternity cover role from 1 October 2025 to 31 January 2027. The successful applicant will contribute to teaching and module development within the finance group, providing both delivery and administrative support. They will also help shape the continued evolution of our academic portfolio.
Applicants should demonstrate a passion for scholarship and be willing to share findings at conferences or publish in professional journals. A good first degree, PhD (or near completion), or relevant professional/teaching qualifications in finance or a closely related field are essential. Industry experience in finance is desirable.
The appointee will work both independently and collaboratively to enhance the School’s teaching and scholarly reputation, and will also be expected to develop external links with relevant academic, governmental, or industry bodies in line with the School’s strategy.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious team-player to contribute to a growing and dynamic department within a friendly and supportive working environment.
