About the School
The School of Business, Computing, and Social Science is located across three campuses within Cheltenham and Gloucester which provide inspiring learning and teaching environments. This post will be based in the state-of-the-art Oxstalls Campus in Gloucester which is home to collaborative learning spaces and a dynamic team of educators. The school's strategic aims are founded in social justice and delivered through creative and innovative teaching and the development of external relationships. We pride ourselves on our support for students and aiding students in their employability and personal growth, through innovative pedagogy developments and real-world engagements in our programmes.
Recent years have seen the development of a supportive and creative research environment, resulting in a successful submission to REF2021 under UoA12, 17 and 21. Members of our team have had increasing success in securing grant or consultancy funding, and in generating research impact by engaging with external stakeholders.
About the role
We are looking to appoint a new member of staff in the Business subject area to join our dynamic, successful, and expanding community. Based at our state-of-the-art Oxstalls Campus, this is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a real flair for teaching and research to join the accounting and finance team.
We would welcome applications from candidates who have experience of teaching in Higher Education and have an interest in research and development in the project management area. Your responsibilities will encompass teaching and conducting research in areas such as Business Management, Project Management, and Leadership. The appointee will support delivery of a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level, which may include our thriving apprenticeship provision, and specialised courses conducted in collaboration with partners. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with external colleagues in both a business and an international collaborative context.
