About the Role
Primary responsibility of the Senior Project Manager is the delivery of projects and programmes of work, varying in size and complexity. The projects will stem from the IT Enabling Plan which, in turn, supports the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) Strategy 2030. The Senior Project Manager reports to the Programme Manager within the Change Delivery team of IT Services department.
The role of Senior Project Manager will encompass all the duties you would expect, from planning, procurement, delivery, risk and issue management, budget management, adhering to our project governance regime, working with internal and external parties, regular reporting through to closure, and transition to business as usual.
About You
You are already an experienced IT/digital project manager or a senior project manager looking for new challenges and an opportunity to work in a busy IT department at a world-renowned University. As well as a degree, you will possess current accreditation in a recognised Project Management standard e.g., PRINCE 2, Agile Scrum. To succeed, you will also need to be an excellent communicator in all formats and experienced in building great relationships with all levels of stakeholders.

The IT Services department provides a comprehensive service to the University, from delivering and enabling transformational change to improving and maintaining complex operations. We support excellence in research, teaching and the professional services that support them using high-performance computing, data storage, desktop support, and digital solutions.
