The School of Built Environment Engineering and Computing is seeking an AI Digital Platform and Immersive Technologist for 6 months on a part-time basis. This role is vital to delivering an Innovate UK funded research aimed at integrating GenAI with Mixed-Reality (MR) for data capture on construction sites to produce a foundation language model (FLM) and a web platform.
Applicants must have an Msc or PhD in Computer Sciences or in any Built Environment discipline with AI/ML expertise. The post-holder is expected to have expertise in using AWS (or related)/Python/Rstudio, VR/AR/MR, Unity/Enscape (or related). Please review the job specifications carefully.
Applicants will have the opportunity to foster a good relationship with members of the Futures of Systems, People and Projects (FUPS) lab at the School of Built Environment Engineering and Computing, develop innovative ideas for new proposals, publish from our ongoing research and be encouraged to attend international conferences.
You will join a multidisciplinary consortium comprising academics and industry practitioners to support your role throughout the project. Most of the research activities will be conducted remotely, and you will only be expected to visit the Leeds Beckett University City Campus when required.
