We are looking to appoint a project manager to join the multi-disciplinary team supporting the Trials Delivery Framework within Dementias Platform UK (https://www.dementiasplatform.uk/ ) with the delivery of the READ-OUT Programme. The READ-OUT Programme is a £4.5m project aimed at establishing the utility of blood biomarkers of dementia in the care of people with cognitive disorders. The post is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (funded to 31 March 2027 with the possibility of extension to 31 March 2029)
The University has introduced a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 a year (pro rata) for all staff on grades 1–10 of the main salary and grading structure which will be implemented in the September 2024 payroll.
You will provide project management, including planning, implementation and delivery of the READ-OUT programme, fostering agreement from clinical leads and Sponsors on elements such as timelines, resource requirements and risk management strategies. You will contribute to the design of the observational study and randomised control trial part of READ-OUT and will also design and implement a programme of progress audits to monitor the delivery of the READ-OUT research programme
You will have a first degree (2:1 or above) in a biomedical or social science discipline (or relevant senior clinical research management experience), along with experience in the management of clinical trials and/or complex multi-site research projects. With an understanding of clinical research methodologies, the UK research landscape and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)guidelines, you should hold a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) GCP certificate qualification. Certification in project management (PRINCE 2, PMP, etc.) would be desirable as would familiarity with Electronic Data Capture (SDC) systems and Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS)
