We are seeking a Data Analyst to deliver high-quality management information that drives strategic decision-making for our Development and Alumni Engagement team. Your analysis will support fundraising campaigns, alumni engagement initiatives, and departmental planning.

About the Role

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities while ensuring exceptional service. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Producing timely, accurate management information and reports for DAE.
  • Delivering ad-hoc analysis and structured projects, such as prospect pipeline modelling and alumni engagement comparisons.
  • Sourcing and integrating internal and external data, applying agreed presentation standards.
  • Identifying patterns in complex datasets and providing actionable insights.
  • Collaborating with academic and administrative teams on cross-functional projects.
  • Supporting campaign planning with metrics and process improvement analysis.
  • Providing bespoke analysis for surveys (e.g., CASE Insight and AEM Atlas).
  • Working with Warwick Data and AI Labs on innovative projects.
  • Advising on data collection, enhancement, and reporting improvements.
  • Promoting continuous improvement and exploring new tools (e.g., Power Platform, R, ETL apps). 

About You

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with:

  • Education: Degree-level qualification (2:1 or equivalent preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced experience with spreadsheets and databases (including SQL).
    • Ability to develop dashboards in Power BI.
    • Familiarity with Python, MS SQL Server, R, and MS Power Platform.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numeracy, statistical ability, and experience presenting complex findings clearly.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects and prioritise workloads under tight deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving: Innovative approach to improving processes and tackling challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, including report writing and presenting.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (ECDL or equivalent).
  • Compliance: Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.
