About the Role
Applications are invited for the role of Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis (CCSPED) to contribute to a new multi-institution collaboration. Our aim is to develop innovative prediction models, which will be integrated with information collected by a ‘virtual human’ prior to GP-consultations, to help identify individuals with cancer early. The successful candidate will use large longitudinal routinely collected healthcare datasets (comprising information from millions of patients) to develop and validate dynamic / machine learning based diagnostic prediction models for cancer. They will be supported by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in general practice, health data science and machine learning.
About You
The successful candidate will have, or will soon obtain, a PhD in a relevant discipline such as mathematics, statistics, AI/machine learning or data science or have an equivalent level of professional qualifications or experience.
