The Admissions team is responsible for the efficient and effective processing of applications for undergraduate and postgraduate study and is now looking for a Customer Service Adviser.
Duties of the Role
The successful candidate will be part of a team that works quickly and efficiently in a constantly changing environment. The Customer Service Adviser is a member of the University’s central Admissions team. They play a key role in ensuring that the team delivers a high quality admissions service to a wide range of stakeholders, including prospective students, schools, recruitment agents, academic staff in University departments and Faculties, and other student services within the University.
Customer Service Advisers are often the first point of contact for applicants to the University, as they provide a friendly, helpful and responsive service to a range of admissions-related enquiries from customers via email; telephone and Live Chat. They use a range of databases to investigate, respond to and record customer queries. Additionally, they will contribute ideas for improvement to customer service and help support efficient planning and operation of tasks.
Skills and qualifications required
The Customer Service Adviser needs the ability to work accurately with attention to detail as they will be dealing with a high number of enquiries. They will also need the ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritise effectively. Highly developed customer service skills and excellent written skills will be particularly useful, as Advisers will regularly be liaising with applicants, primarily in writing. The successful candidate must have a minimum of two A-levels or equivalent and experience of working in an administrative role.
