Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington invites applications for a permanent full-time position as Pūkenga - Lecturer in Film to begin in 2025. The appointee will have the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant critical and creative program in Film at Te Kura Tānga Kōrero Ingarihi, Kiriata, Whakaari, Pāpāho, Tāhuhu Kōrero Toi - School of English, Film, Theatre, Media and Communication, and Art History

The appointee will be expected to supervise post-graduate research students and join the community of scholars and practitioners in our highly collegial, growing, and vibrant film programme at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.
Key requirements:
We are particularly interested in scholars who have experience teaching production courses and/ or research specialisation in one or more of the following areas: Māori/ indigenous cinema, East Asian cinema, queer and transgender cinemas.
