Are you passionate about marketing and higher education? Do you thrive in work environments, taking on a variety of tasks? Interested in marketing and communications for international audiences? We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic marketing specialist to join the University’s Marketing Office, to deliver international marketing projects across multiple channels, through a range of media.
The role is based within the Campaigns Team, who lead on brand-level marketing for student recruitment, including web, email marketing, advertising, organic social campaigns, and the creation of online and offline assets such as videos and prospectuses. The Team is made up of marketing, communications and digital content specialists who deliver B2C activity throughout the customer journey.
We use content marketing across the whole applicant journey, from top-of-funnel marketing such as advertising and printed guides, through to our website and social media, and to more personalised marketing communications via our CRM.
As well as marketing and communications experience providing you with an in-depth understanding of digital and traditional techniques and platforms, you should have a range of content production experience, having worked to a high level of accuracy and professional standards. Good IT and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to work using your initiative.
It is also key that you have both a flair for writing, as well as excellent proofreading skills to ensure that written information sent to our applicants and offer holders is of the highest standard.
Working with a variety of stakeholders, particularly internal teams, excellent communication skills are vital to the role. You should also be accustomed to managing several projects at once and be able to manage your own workload and priorities.
You will be familiar with legislation such as the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and committed to upholding these regulatory requirements.
This is offered as a full-time indefinite role, though flexible arrangements will be considered. The role is hybrid with both on-campus and home working.
Please note that this post will require you to work during the clearing and confirmation period – usually mid-August around A level results day. Leave during this period will be restricted.
Informal enquiries for this role can be made to Thomas Parker, International Marketing Manager thomas.parker@lancaster.ac.uk.
