The Glasgow University Software Service (GUSS) is a facility within the School of Computing Science that provides software development capability for customers across the University and real world software development experience to students working within the GUSS as software development interns.
The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the Service Software Engineering Manager in supervising the conduct of on-going software development efforts undertaken within the service and mediating the interaction between student developers and their customers. They will also actively seek out and establish new software projects through advertising and engagement with business units and other initiatives across the University.
The postholders will report and be responsible to the Service Software Engineering Manager and the Academic Lead for the GUSS within the School of Computing Science.
These posts are full time (35 hours per week) and fixed term for up to 12 months in the first instance.
