The opportunity
We are looking for a committed and motivated Library Assistant to support the delivery of high quality, customer-focused library services at University of the Arts London (UAL).
In this key role, you will provide acquisitions, metadata and subscription support to staff and students, enabling access to resources, collections and services by supporting technical and administrative operations.

In addition to this, you will also help provide an efficient and effective customer service, dealing with queries from both staff and suppliers.
There might be limited opportunities to work from home dependent on operational needs, but onsite working will be the main focus for this role.
About you
You will be a personable and customer focused individual, with previous experience of working in a customer service environment. You will need excellent communication skills and will be able to provide accurate information clearly and concisely to a variety of different audiences.
With excellent digital and IT skills, you will demonstrate an understanding of databases including the library management system, and an understanding of technologies and applications including printers and Microsoft Office 365.
Strong teamwork skills are also essential, along with the ability to deliver basic training to support understanding or learning.
