An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Employer Partnership Lead within the Careers Service in the Directorate of Student Life at GCU. The newly launched Strategy 2030 provides an excellent framework for the Careers Service to work with developing the Employability of GCU Students and Graduates. The service works across all GCU Schools to support the Careers Education, Information and Guidance of GCU students providing an exceptional careers service. Based within the Careers Service, the role will lead on employer engagement activity for the Careers Service and support the development of an employer engagement strategy. The role will involve proactively building new partnerships with key occupational sectors and delivering an enhanced programme of events and activities to increase employer access for students.
The postholder will play a key role in the development of processes and procedures to support the development of employer engagement activity. The successful candidate will work closely will colleagues across the institution and externally with employers and professional bodies.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of successful stakeholder management and strong knowledge of relevant labour markets. A strong skillset is required to carry out this role including excellent communication, planning and IT skills. The ability to network and negotiate is essential in this role.
