We are seeking to appoint a postdoctoral researcher to join the Translational Neurostimulation Laboratory, led by Professor Jacinta O’Shea. The post is based in the University Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital.
The post is for a fixed term (funded for one year).
You will carry out studies of human brain plasticity using cognitive and physiological measures in healthy volunteers and in clinical populations with affective disorders. A core focus will be conducting and analysing multimodal brain stimulation experiments (combining behavioural, clinical, electrophysiological and neuroimaging readouts).
You will have or be close to the completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g. clinical neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology), and have an excellent academic track record including publications appropriate to career stage. With experience of running experiments (behavioural, stimulation, imaging) in healthy adults and clinical cohorts you will have excellent skills in programming (Matlab, R), statistics, computational modelling and data processing. Knowledge and experience of structured clinical interviewing for assessing affective disorder would be desirable.
You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement and a CV as part of your application
The closing date for this post is 12.00 midday on 30th September 2024
