About the role
The School of Healthcare are looking for a Lecturer in response to the increasing demand for our pharmacist prescribing program. The pharmacist independent prescribing program at the University of Leicester is a largely distance learning program with six study days of which two are face to face and the remainder on-line. The successful candidate will primarily work within the prescribing course program team to support program delivery. This involves mainly online teaching and assessment, however, the national program requires occasional travel within England and Northern Ireland to deliver the face to face sessions which are shared amongst the program team.
The post provides an excellent opportunity for a practicing prescribing pharmacist to develop their education and training skills, whilst joining a dynamic and expanding pharmacy team at the University of Leicester. The successful applicant would be expected to:

About you
Alongside an MPharm degree at 2:1 or above you will also have a prescribing annotation on the professional register, have evidence of current clinical practice and plans to maintain it within the role. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and presenting skills and a commitment to personal professional development.
