About the Role
The Executive Officer (Governance) will support the effective operating of Queen Mary’s corporate and academic governance. The post holder will provide expert administrative support to Senate, Council and its sub-committees, and support the effective execution of corporate and academic governance within the University more broadly.
About You
The postholder will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as outstanding organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to deliver a varied workload to tight deadlines. The postholder will have a proactive and flexible approach to work, be adept at problem-solving, and demonstrate tact and judgment when handling sensitive information.
About the Directorate of Governance and Legal Services
The Directorate of Governance and Legal Services (DGLS) provides essential support to Queen Mary’s core business activities of teaching and research. The Council Secretariat, which sits within DGLS, is responsible for supporting the effective functioning of the University’s academic and corporate governance. Information governance is also managed within the team.
