ABOUT THE POST
The School of Human Sciences at London Metropolitan University seeks to appoint a full-time Biosciences Senior lecturer in the areas of Molecular Biology. This post provides an exciting opportunity for an individual to help shape: the curriculum; its delivery face-to-face and via distance learning on both our undergraduate and postgraduate courses; and support the development of research in the areas of Molecular Biology within the School.
You will be qualified to postgraduate level (preferably with a PhD) in an area of Biomedical Science. Specialist knowledge in Molecular Biology or Cell Biology is essential. You should have experience of teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate level. You will also be expected to be research active.
The School of Human Sciences offers a stimulating teaching and research environment with diverse research activity, including cell signalling, micro-vesicles, genetics of obesity, iron disorders, telomere measurement in health and disease and cancer research. Our students particularly value the enthusiasm of our staff and the inspiration that comes with a research-led curriculum. You will have a strategic role in meeting and supporting the aspirations of students in a very competitive higher education arena.
