About the Role
You will be responsible for the management of research studies in cancer prevention/detection. You will be responsible for writing/amending protocols, coordinating and updating research study approvals/amendments of submissions to ethics committees, local NHS (R&D) offices, and the sponsor. You will be responsible for set-up of participating sites and managing and supporting sites throughout the duration of research studies. You will be responsible for writing/amending data management plans and database maintenance, as well as writing/amending monitoring plans and undertaking monitoring activities as required. As part of the role, you will contribute to the preparation of study reports for funders, sponsor and oversight committees.
In the first instance this post will work on a cancer prevention study called TransPRIDE: Trans and Non-binary Prostate-Specific Antigen Reference Interval Determination Study.
About You
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree and/or relevant experience for this role. They will have experience in managing multi-centre clinical studies/trials, ideally with experience in the cancer/screening/prevention setting.

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine.
The post-holder will work in the Centre for Evaluation and Methods (CEM), a thriving centre that incorporates collaborative units who work to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary strengths. The post-holder will contribute in particular to long-term follow-up studies in the fields of breast and prostate cancer prevention, within the Barts Clinical Trials Unit.
