We are seeking a part-time Laboratory Manager to join The Sustainable Metal Structures research group at the Department of Engineering Science , Begbroke Science Park. The post is externally funded and is fixed-term for 24 months.
The Sustainable Metal Structures research group located in Jenkin building Oxford relies on a laboratory located in Begbroke where essential stability, fatigue and microstructure experiments are developed on carbon steel and stainless steel structures.
You will hold a PhD or equivalent qualification in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering together with experience in Laboratory management or Practice or a related area. Experience of working in a laboratory in at least two areas and with external partners is essential. You will have the ability to manage day to day tasked and have an excellent understanding of the mode of operation etc. Full criteria details available from the job description.
