About the Role
We are looking for a Research Development Manager with a strong track record in UK industry/research funding to join the growing team at Nottingham Trent University. Further engagement and success with Innovate UK, UK Government and other funders of collaborative R&D is an integral part of our objective go grow and diversify the funding portfolio across all our disciplines. This is a new role, which will create capacity by supporting the Head of UK Industry Research Funding, and by leading the KTP Team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of securing funding for collaborative R&D, particularly through Innovate UK and UK Government. They will be a skilled communicator and influencer, with the ability to develop relationships with academics and professional service colleagues at NTU, collaborators and key funders.
The successful candidate will be genuinely interested in research, understand the value and challenges of multidisciplinary approaches, and the importance of delivering impact beyond academia. They will be someone who quickly assimilates new information and intelligence, proactively makes linkages between different people, projects and opportunities, and has the tenacity and organisational skills to work with our researchers and their collaborators to develop clear, detailed, coherent project proposals.

We have recently refreshed our Strategic Research Themes (Health Innovation; Safety and Sustainability; Digital, Technology and Creative) which encompass all our Schools and will be dynamic and bustling with activity. They will be the vehicles through which we tell our narrative.
