We have an exciting opportunity within the SETsquared team for someone to demonstrate their marketing and community building skills to support early-stage companies with funding, investment and university collaborations to build an impact within the UK economy, increase GVA and create new jobs.
About us
The SETsquared Innovation Platform was launched in 2021 to provide an online community for high-tech companies in the UK innovation ecosystem, with many of those benefitting from SETsquared support. Through this platform, companies can access tailored communities, resources, information on programme events and opportunities within the wider innovation ecosystem.
The role of Innovation Manager is the key driver of the Innovation Platform strategy that feeds into all of the support programmes. The core focus of the role is to use the platform as a tool to improve programme engagement, establish new initiatives and form collaborations with partners across the ecosystem to support the mission of SETsquared Partnership, whilst also taking overall ownership for managing the platform and the user experience.
SETsquared is a unique enterprise partnership and a dynamic collaboration between the six-leading research-led UK universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey. Ranked as the UK No.1 Start-Up Hub, we provide a wide range of highly acclaimed support programmes to help turn ideas into thriving businesses.
About you
The successful candidate will be familiar with community management, preferably within the innovation space. You will be a self-starter, who is confident in working co-operatively with multiple parties towards a common goal and will be able to take a comprehensive view to the role, identifying opportunities for innovation and applying creativity in developing innovative and workable solutions.
Communication, planning and team skills are also key alongside an awareness of the bigger picture in terms of what SETsquared and the University are looking to achieve.
