About us:

Within KCTU the mental health statistics group are 12 statisticians working on a portfolio of 40 to 50 clinical trials. The team works closely with the mental health clinical trials methodology group.

Professor Richard Emsley is the KCTU Director and passionate about improving clinical trials methodology.

About the role:

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 30th September 2025.

The role is to support clinical trials statisticians and principal statisticians in the conduct and reporting of clinical trials.

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  1. Formal qualification in statistics or a substantial statistical content
  2. Familiarity with statistical software packages such as STATA, (or R)
  3. Understanding of the fundamental principles of epidemiology or medical statistics
  4. Motivated and self-disciplined

Desirable criteria

  1. Post-graduate degree in Biometry, Medical or Applied Statistics
  2. Experience in the conduct of randomised controlled trials
  3. To have published peer reviewed publications
  4. Experience of working as the technical expert in a multidisciplinary team
