This is an open-ended contract with funding for two years

Launched in January 2025, the Global School will become a centre of expertise, informing policy, helping to rapidly and equitably create the economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protections crucial to ensuring a sustainable future, while convening global experts and training the future generation of leaders. It builds on and complements further the pathbreaking work of existing outstanding contributions from academic departments and researchers across LSE.

Join the newly established Global School of Sustainability (GSoS) as an Operations Administrator, supporting its operations and growth. This dynamic role involves providing administrative support to the team, assisting theme leads, managing communications, coordinating events, and maintaining efficient processes. As GSoS evolves, you’ll help shape its operations, working collaboratively across LSE to support its mission. Ideal for someone adaptable, proactive, and excited to be part of a new initiative driving sustainability impact.

For this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to create and maintain databases 
  • Experience of and ability to support the planning and organisation of activities and events, taking responsibility for all logistics and co-ordinating activity 
  • Demonstrable ability to apply policy and procedure when arranging activities. 
  • Experience of minute taking, diary and meeting management
  • Experience of updating websites
  • Experience of managing multiple mailboxes, ensuring timely responses and escalation where necessary
