This role will be based on the university campus and at Bradford Institute for Health Research building, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you a collaborative and self-motivated researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have a passion for applied health and social care research? Do you want to further your career in a leading research-intensive University?

We are appointing a Research Fellow to take a leading role in a study funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research to evaluate innovative models of home care provision. Led by the University of Leeds, we are working with the Universities of York and Newcastle, Bradford and Leeds City Councils, NHS Community Trusts, care providers, third sector organisations and public collaborators. This is a multi-method study (evidence synthesis, quantitative and qualitative methods) and demands a researcher with the ability to work collaboratively and sensitively with home care commissioners, providers, carers, and those accessing home care services, as well as a range of methodologists.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with experts in applied health and care research with methodological and clinical expertise spanning ageing, frailty and social care. Supervised by Dr Liz Graham, the post will be based at the Academic Unit for Ageing and Stroke Research (ASR), which has offices in Leeds and Bradford. You will also work closely with Professor Karen Spilsbury, School of Healthcare (University of Leeds), who is co-leading the study.

You will have previously conducted and managed or co-ordinated research studies and programmes involving multiple stakeholders and organisations in a health and / or social care context. You will also have mixed-methods research expertise, with an emphasis on qualitative methods.

With a PhD (or nearing completion of a PhD) in a health or social care discipline you will have experience of applied health and / or social care research.
