Part Time (17.5 hours / 0.5 FTE - 28 hours / 0.8 FTE)
We are excited to advertise a new post within the College Executive Office in the College of Medicine and Health, at the University of Birmingham. Reporting to the College Executive Officer the post-holder will be the primary administrative support to the College Director of Operations and their deputies, and a key member of the wider College Executive Office and Administration Team. In doing so they will liaise with internal and external colleagues to ensure key tasks are undertaken, meetings are arranged and appropriately supported, and work-streams of various of projects are kept on track.
The College of Medicine and Health is the largest within the University and is an exciting hub of academic, clinical and professional services staff working collaboratively to train the next generation of healthcare professionals and conduct world-leading research. The College Executive Office is an exciting place to work, at the heart of the College’s work. It is busy and friendly environment in which to work in which all members are expected to keep to the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
In addition to their duties in providing PA support to the College Director of Operations, the post-holder will also support the College Executive Officer, and members of the Senior Management Team in delivering key processes and projects within the College. They will also work with counterparts across the College to develop consistent ways of working and form a wider community of practice within the College.
We are looking for someone with outstanding organisation and administrative skills. The post-holder will also be able to work independently, have good personal judgement, resourcefulness, flexibility, and self-motivation.
