The Role
Reporting to the Head of Student Health and Wellbeing, and as part of the wider SHWS leadership team, provide effective leadership to a team of academic department-based Student Wellbeing Advisers(SWA's). With strong leadership, grow and develop this university wide team who serve a diverse student population with a broad spectrum of needs. Using proven experience of results-driven leadership in support services, the post holder will be accountable for the quality and professionalism of the team and the service it delivers. Generating, implementing and evaluating new and original student support polices and processes. Planning and organising individual and team activity to ensure all work is operated in close coordination with academic school aims and with the wider SHWS teams and key NHS partners. Interpret sector wide, student union and service generated data to identify trends in student need, creating and testing innovative student support solutions, creating and implementing effective procedures to enable governance of the team and these solutions.
Horizon scan and work in partnership with local and national partners, in support of the University's strategic objectives for an outstanding student support experience.
